Terms & Conditions
These terms govern your use of cyclesarc.shop, a shop operated by Kairoi Co. OÜ. Using the site means accepting them. For the Cycles Arc app and its terms, please visit cyclesarc.com.
Who you are dealing with
Kairoi Co. OÜ, registry code 17410529, Sakala tn 7-2, Kesklinna linnaosa, Tallinn, Harju maakond, 10141, Estonia. Cycles Arc is a brand of Kairoi Co. OÜ. You can reach us at customersupport@kairoico.com.
Everything here is a download
This is worth being exact about, because it decides most of what follows. Cycles Arc sells digital goods only. A print is a print-ready PDF you print yourself; stationery, agendas, planners and journals are printable files; the calendar feeds are a subscription your own calendar reads; the apps are software you are licensed to use.
Nothing is posted to you. There is no parcel, no delivery address, no shipping and no tracking, and there is nothing to send back. What you buy arrives as a file or as access, and it arrives immediately.
Prices, and who you buy from
Prices are announced at launch. Until then no price shown anywhere on this site — and none quoted to you by anyone else — binds us, and nothing on these pages is an offer to sell.
When the shop opens, checkout is operated by a merchant of record. That company becomes the seller for your purchase: it takes the payment, issues your invoice, and accounts for VAT and any sales tax in your country. It is named on the checkout page and on your receipt, so you always know who took your money. Its own terms cover the payment itself; these terms cover the product, the licence and what you may do with it.
The price you see at checkout is the price you pay, including any tax due. We never see or hold your card number.
There is no checkout open yet. These terms are updated to describe buying in full before the first order is taken, not after, and the date at the foot changes with it.
The designs you keep
You can put a design together here and keep it. What that means exactly: the sheet is held by your own browser on your own device, we never receive it, and we therefore cannot restore one for you. Clearing your browser data destroys it and no backup of ours can bring it back. If a design matters to you, keep your own copy of it.
A kept design is not an order, not a reservation and not a price. It is a sheet you put together, and it commits neither of us to anything.
What the plates actually are
Every plate in this shop is computed astronomy: positions, phases, risings and settings derived from ephemerides for a real date and a real place. It is arithmetic about the sky, and we will show you how any plate was arrived at on the page that explains it.
It is not a horoscope, not a forecast and not advice of any kind — not medical, not financial, not legal, not agricultural. Nothing here predicts what will happen to you, and nothing here should be relied on for navigation, aviation, surveying or any other purpose where an error carries a real cost. Use a published nautical or aeronautical almanac for those.
What you are buying: a licence, not the work
The site, the text, the typography, the plate designs, the imagery, the computed data and the software behind them belong to Kairoi Co. OÜ or to those who licensed them to us. Astronomical fact belongs to nobody; our particular rendering of it is ours.
When you buy, you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use that file or that access for yourself. You do not acquire the design, the copyright or any right to pass it on. Buying a file is not buying the work, in the same way that owning a book is not owning the right to print more of it.
You may not resell what you buy
We would rather put this in its own section than bury it in a list, because with a downloadable product it is the only thing that really matters.
What you buy is for you. You may not resell it, and you may not give it away. That covers every route: selling or listing the file anywhere, including marketplaces, stock sites, template shops and social platforms; sharing, uploading, emailing or posting it, whether or not money changes hands; bundling it into anything you sell; printing copies to sell at a market, a fair or a shop; and sub-licensing, renting or transferring your licence or your account to anyone else.
You also may not treat our work as raw material: no editing, recolouring, cropping or recombining our files into a product of your own, no removing our marks, no scraping the catalogue or the previews, and no using anything from this shop to train a model or to build a competing product.
What you may do: print a file you bought as many times as you like for yourself, print one as a gift for one person, hang it, frame it, and use a calendar feed or an app on the devices you personally use. Private use is genuinely private use, and we are not going to be difficult about a copy on your own laptop and your own phone.
If you want to sell, print commercially, or use our work for a client, a brand or an institution, that is a different licence and a conversation we are glad to have — write to the trade page or to us directly. A licence ends if it is broken, and ending it does not entitle you to a refund.
Using the site fairly
Do not attempt to break into, overload, probe or disrupt the site, and do not use automated means to harvest it. If you send us something — an enquiry, a photograph, a suggestion — you confirm you have the right to send it, and you allow us to use it for the purpose you sent it for.
When we write to you
We write to you only if you asked us to, and confirmation is double opt-in, so nothing is sent until you confirm. Every message carries an unsubscribe link and you may leave at any time. What we hold and why is set out in the Privacy Policy.
Affiliate programme
The affiliate programme has its own terms, which you accept when you apply to join it, and it is operated through the same merchant of record that handles sales — so referrals are tracked and commissions are paid against the transactions that company records.
Being an affiliate is a right to refer, not a right to resell: it does not license you to copy, redistribute or sell our files, and everything under You may not resell what you buy applies to affiliates exactly as it applies to everyone else. Nothing on this page replaces the programme's own terms.
What we do not promise
We try to keep the site accurate and available, and we do not guarantee either. Pages may be changed, moved or withdrawn, a computed figure may contain an error, and the site may be down when you want it. Where we learn that something is wrong we correct it rather than leave it standing.
We are not responsible for the content of sites we link to, which are not ours and not under our control.
Liability
We are liable to you for loss that we cause and that a court would consider a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms. We are not liable for business losses — loss of profit, of contract, of goodwill, or of an opportunity — because this shop is supplied for private use.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are untouched by anything written here, and where a term reads as narrower than the law allows, the law wins and the rest of the term stands.
Downloads are not refundable once they start
A file cannot be handed back. Once it is on your machine you have it, and no return is possible — so a download is not refundable once the download has begun, and neither is a personalised plate computed for your own date and place.
The law gets you there by a particular route and we follow it exactly rather than simply declaring the right away. If you are a consumer in the EU or the UK you have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase. For a file that right ends when delivery starts, but only if you asked for it to start immediately, acknowledged that you were giving the right up, and we confirmed both back to you. So at checkout there is one box, not ticked for you and separate from accepting these terms, which reads:
- I want my download to start immediately, and I understand that once it starts I lose my 14-day right to cancel.
Your receipt repeats it back to you. If you never began the download, the 14 days stand and you get your money back.
A subscription — a calendar feed, an app — is a service rather than a file, and the tick above does not reach it. There the 14 days stand whatever you ticked: withdraw inside them and you get your money back, less a proportionate amount for the days you actually had the service. After that, cancel whenever you like and it runs to the end of the period you have paid for. The Refund Policy sets this out in full.
None of this touches a faulty product. If a file will not open, will not print as described, is not what you ordered, or contains an error we made, you are entitled to have it put right or to have your money back, and that is not limited to 14 days. Write to us with the order number and we settle it.
The Refund Policy forms part of these terms and sets this out in full. If the two pages ever disagree, the Refund Policy governs the question it answers.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms, and the version in force is the one published here when you use the site. Where a change matters — anything touching your money, your rights or your data — the date below changes with it, and if you have an order in hand it is governed by the terms that applied when you placed it, not by a later version.
Law and complaints
These terms are governed by Estonian law, and the courts of Estonia have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the EU or in the UK, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of your own country, and you may bring proceedings there.
Tell us first — customersupport@kairoico.com, and we answer. If we cannot settle it between us, an EU consumer may take the matter to the consumer dispute committee in their own country. In Estonia that is the Consumer Disputes Committee at the Consumer Protection and Technical Regulatory Authority.
